Is a chemical drain cleaner a bad idea?
For anything more than the occasional hair clog, yes. Caustic products sit in the trap, damage older pipe and make the line dangerous for the next person who opens it. They also rarely touch grease or roots.
Why does one drain back up when I use another fixture?
That is a classic sign the blockage is downstream in a shared line rather than in a single trap. Water takes the lowest available opening, which is usually a tub or shower.
Do you use a camera on every drain call?
On main lines, yes, and we show you the footage. On a single sink or tub trap it is usually unnecessary and we will not charge you for it.
Can roots be cleared for good?
Cabling and jetting clear them, but roots return to the same joint because that is where the water is. Lining or replacing the affected section is the permanent answer, and we price it against repeat cleaning so you can compare.
